Front Page:The First Prize of the Education and Teaching Award of the Fok Ying Tung Education Foundation ;Awarded to Professor Song Malin
On December 26th, the awarding ceremony of the 19th “Fok Ying Tung Education Foundation ;Young Scientists ;Awards” ;and ;“Awards for ;Teaching ;in Higher Education” was held at Nanjing University. After the preliminary expert evaluation organized by the Ministry of Education and the resolution of the joint meeting of the Foundation';s Council and the Advisory Committee, Professor Song Malin, a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Anhui University of Finance and Economics (AUFE), was awarded the first prize of the “Awards for Teaching ; in Higher Education” by ;the Fok Ying Tung Education Foundation (5 people nationwide won this award). This is the first time that a teacher from a university in Anhui Province has won this award, marking a breakthrough for institutions of higher learning in Anhui Province.
Wu Yan, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Education, Stanley Fok Zhenhuan, Chairman of the Fok Ying Tung Education Foundation and Chief Executive of the Fok Ying Tung Group, Timothy Fok Zhenting, Vice Chairman of the Fok Ying Tung Education Foundation and Chairman of the Fok Ying Tung Group, Tan Tieniu, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nanjing University and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tan Zhemin, President of Nanjing University and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and other distinguished guests attended the conference.
Professor Song Malin, ;currently a senior ;professor, honors ;a doctorate degree and a post-doctoral qualification, and serves ;as a supervisor for doctoral students. He has been selected for national high-level talent programs, and is a renowned cultural figure and one of the “Prestigious Talents ;Needed in Four Areas” recognized by the Publicity Department of the Central Committee. He honors a series of titles ;as ;“National Hundred ;Million Talents Project ;Award” and Young and Middle-aged Expert with Outstanding Contributions. He also honors ;special allowance from the State Council and has been admitted ;in ;the “New Century Excellent Talents Support Program” of the Ministry of Education, among other honors.
He serves as the Vice President of the Chinese Industrial Economics Association, a member of the Teaching Guiding ;Committee for Statistics Majors in Higher Education affiliated by ;the Ministry of Education, and a member of the Scientific Committee of the Inter-University Sustainable Development Research Program.
Over the past nearly 20 years, he has been committed to imparting knowledge and educating students. Standing on the podium and being at the forefront of teaching, he has been practicing the morality and responsibility passed down from generation to generation among educators.
