Addressing climate change has become an important issue that countries around the world face together. Global warming not only has a profound impact on the ecological environment, but also poses significant challenges to the social economy, financial markets, and investment activities. With the proposal of the carbon neutrality goal, the significance of low-carbon and green development has become even more prominent. How the financial system can play a supporting role in the process of dealing with climate risks and low-carbon transformation has become a global focus of attention, and research related to climate finance has thus become a frontier and hot issue in academia.
In order to discuss more in-depth and extensively the impacts of climate change, carbon neutrality, climate finance and other related topics, the 9th High-end Forum on Carbon Neutrality and Climate Finance and the International Academic Conference on Low-carbon Development and Financial Statistics, jointly hosted by the Energy Finance Professional Committee of the International Society for Energy Transition (ISETS) and the Climate Finance Research Branch of the Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning and Economic Mathematics (CSOOPEM), and undertaken by the School of Statistics and Applied Mathematics of AUFE and the Key Laboratory of Philosophy and Social Sciences of Anhui Province for Low-carbon Development and Carbon Finance, will be held in Hefei, Anhui on November 30, 2024. We sincerely invite experts, scholars, and professionals from all walks of life to actively submit papers and participate in the conference.
I. Conference Theme
The conference will focus on the following themes for discussion:
Climate Change and Financial Risks: Explore the impact of climate change on financial markets and analyze how climate risks are transmitted through the financial system.
Carbon Neutrality Goals and Financial Support: Study the role of the financial market in achieving the carbon neutrality goals and explore the theories and practices of green finance and carbon finance.
Low-carbon Economic Development: Analyze the development model of the low-carbon economy and share the latest progress in low-carbon technologies and industrial transformation.
Application of Financial Statistics in Climate Finance: Explore the application of statistical methods and models in climate risk assessment and carbon market analysis.
Policies and Regulations on Low-carbon Development and Carbon Finance: Study the policy measures of various countries in addressing climate change and explore the coordination of financial policies under the global climate governance framework.

The submitted papers should be full-text academic papers in Chinese or English that have not been publicly published. Only submissions in PDF or Word format will be accepted. Please indicate 9th High-end Forum on Carbon Neutrality and Climate Finance and the International Academic Conference on Low-carbon Development and Financial Statistics in the subject of the email. Please indicate the name, affiliation, position, and contact information of the submitter in the submission email.
